It has been 85 days since the Palisades and Eton fires changed our lives forever. Homes have been lost, communities devastated, and hearts broken. Yet, even in the face of this tragedy, one thing remains unchanged—our unwavering bond as a community.
In these past weeks, we have come together—those who are staying to rebuild, those who are putting the community first. But the road ahead is long. Rebuilding will take years, not months. It will require more than just construction—it will require a deep and lasting commitment to one another.
Rebuilding isn’t just about structures—it’s about people. If families across our community look out for one another, regardless of which school their children attend, we all win. Every child in this community must be treated as our own. Now, more than ever, we must put our community first.
That commitment starts with supporting the people and businesses that make our community what it is. If you’re within driving distance and need a haircut, a cup of coffee, or a meal, choose to support the local businesses that are fighting to come back. Even if it’s out of your way, these small efforts are what will bring our town back to life.
Many of us are displaced across the city, county, and even the country. But that doesn’t mean we lose sight of what matters most—rebuilding together. And the first step is restoring the heart of our town: our rec center, our elementary schools, and our small businesses.
Every step of the way, Pali4Pali will be there. We will roll up our sleeves, raise funds, donate, and work with every nonprofit possible. This is our chance to show our children what it means to face adversity—and to rise above it together.
Stand for us all, or stand for nothing at all.
